Jimmy Chin and Conrad Anker join Hold My Leg

Filmmaker Jimmy Chin and alpinist Conrad Anker have joined the documentary as executive producers.

Jimmy Chin is an Academy Award-winning director and National Geographic photographer. He and director Erich Roepke worked together on Everest: The Other Side. Conrad Anker has spent decades leading climbing expeditions and is a longtime The North Face athlete.

They joined Hold My Leg during post-production. The team is now editing Denali footage and interviews.

Production Update

Hold My Leg is in post-production

The editors are working through footage from several years of production, including 21 days on Denali. The footage includes Pete McAfee and Vasu Sojitra on the expedition, plus the dispute over how the film portrays disability.

On Denali, equipment fails and the cold wears the team down. Pete and Vasu argue over the filmmakers' portrayal of disability. Erich revises the film's premise after Vasu calls it "inspiration porn."
